The "space underpants" - J-ware will be going on sale from February 20th in Japan. J-ware were created by textile experts at Japan Women's University in Tokyo. It was designed to be deadly to bacteria, water absorbent and quick-drying. They also have flame-resistant and anti-static properties which makes them suitable for sports such as auto racing. You can wear the underwear for a long time without washing.
The "Tower Skin" is a speculative project developed by international architectural firm LAVA (Laboratory for Visionary Architecture) for the university of technology (UTS) broadway tower in sydney, australia. It's a simple, cost effective, easily constructed skin that can transforms old buildings into sustainable, iconic buildings.
The "Tower Skin" is a transparent cocoon wrapped with three dimensional lightweight, high performance composite mesh textile. It generates energy with photo voltaic cells, collects rain water, improves day lighting and uses available convective energy to power the towers' ventilation requirements.
The GAP store on Robson Street in Vancouver, Canada was literally flipped upside down, and the transformation was finished in only twelve hours. This is a part of Gap's new loyalty program “Sprize”.
Almost everything has been inverted including the store logo, clothes racks that were fixed to the ceiling and even the cars in front of the store were flipped around. I especially liked the hot dog cart outside the store that was turned over and the up side down logo on the Gap shopping bags.
