Spotted Lake is a saline endorheic alkali lake located northwest of Osoyoos in British Columbia. It is located near the city of Osoyoos. In the hot sun of summer, the water of Spotted Lake evaporates and crystallizes the minerals, forming many white-rimmed circles: shallow pools that reflect the mineral content of the water in shades of blues and greens, adn they harden to form natural “walkways” around and between the spots.
