Selena Gomez, named ‘Favorite Television Actress’ at the 22nd Kids Choice Awards 2009 at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion, Los Angeles, on Saturday, March 28, was a notable absentee at the event.

The 16-year-old celebrated her win while having dinner with her cast, and recorded her reactions to share them with her fans.
Selena won the award for her role in Wizards of Waverly against competition from Miranda Cosgrove (iCarly), Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana) and America Ferrera (Ugly Betty).
Wizards of Waverly focuses on the three children – Alex (Selena), Justin and Max – of Italian-American Jerry Russo and his eccentric Mexican-American wife Theresa.
The children come through as normal teens, but are actually wizards in training.
Delighted at her first Kids’ Choice Awards win, the sixteen-year-old wrote in a YouTube post addressed to her fans.
“OH.MY.GOODNESS!!!!!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! to all of you guys!! This made my whole year!! God Bless sel.”

David Archuleta performs Friday at the E Center in West Valley City. He showed in his first headlining show in his hometown that he has moved beyond who he was on TV — a shy, awkward teenager – and is on his way to becoming a man.

Archuleta, in his last tour stop in his first headlining tour, illustrated that tour dates all over the country have turned him into a seasoned performer, whether it’s amiably interacting with the primarily mom-and-teens crowd or swaying on stage comfortably, rather than looking like a nervous junior high student at his first dance. Sheepish giggles that were his trademark on the shows have been minimized, and he is much more articulate – even though he did tend to call everything either “crazy,” “awesome” or :amazing.”
“It feels so good to be back home, guys,” Archuleta gushed to the nearly sold-out arena early in his 80-minute, 15-song set. “All these people – wow.”
Clad in a white shirt, grey hoodie vest and black jeans, with his hair trendily faux-hawked, Archuleta boasted a voice that was loud, clear and strong throughout, despite ear-piercing squeals and shrieks from the Generation Texters in the crowd that out-decibeled the singer and his lean four-piece backing band.
The set list produced surprises that one wouldn’t expect from someone with only one album under his belt. An up-tempo, club-ready outtake called “Zero Gravity,” co-penned by Archuleta, was one of the highlights and was matched in enthusiasm by the crowd, who showed a remarkable devotion to their teen idol by knowing the words to the song.
Another highlight of the set was a four-song medley that Archuleta called some of his favorite songs. He began the medley with U2’s “One,” segued into Des’ree’s “You Gotta Be,” moved onto Sara Bareilles’ “Love Song,” and ended with what Archuleta proclaimed his favorite song of 2008: Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours.” The singer was most impressive with his phrasing on the U2 number, with his vocals hewing more towards Mary J. Blige’s version than Bono’s. It was in this song that his tenor revealed the soul influences that made him undoubtedly one of the better song interpreters in “Idol” history.
Archuleta even showed off his chops on an often over-looked part of his heritage: his Honduran roots, from his mother’s side. He sang the opening to Selena’s “Como La Flor” a cappella, to the crowd’s delight.
The singer closed with a two-song encore, with just him and a piano: Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles” and then Robbie Williams’ “Angels.” Although “Angels” was one of Archuleta’s signature songs on “Idol,” he showed that he is moving on to other, and better things.

When her untouched photo was published online, Kim Kardashian has taken to her blog to respond.

She wrote: “So everyone has been putting up these pics from Complex Magazine showing the comparison of the original un-photoshopped photo that mistakenly was put up on complex.com. This blog even went to the trouble to make an animation of the before and after.”
“Complex later replaced the pic with the photoshopped version, causing all of this drama. But you know what, who cares!” the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star continued. “So what: I have a little cellulite. What curvy girl doesn’t!?”
Kim Also wrote on her blog: “At the same time as this Complex shoot, I was gearing up for my fitness DVD and you should see my thighs now!!! Haha!”
She added: “This all motivates me to stay in the gym because my goal this year has been to get in better shape and tone up! Hard work pays off!”
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian has revealed her physical flaws and discusses body image on Extra.
The interview, which airs March 27, has Kardashian noting, “You can be on the cover of a magazine, but it doesn’t mean you’re perfect.”
Kim Kardashian isn’t shying away from her critics when untouched pictures from her Complex magazine photo shoot surfaced.
Today, she told “Extra’s” Mario Lopez, “No one’s perfect and I never claimed to be, so why not show the before and after comparison to show people what I’m really like. Cellulite and all!”
When she first learned that the photos were published, Kardashian revealed, “I contacted them [Complex magazine] and was like, ‘Guys, was this part of the shoot?’ They apologized and I said, ‘You know what. Send me both photos.’ I’m going to talk about it because it is important for young woman to know that you can be on the cover of a magazine, but it doesn’t mean you’re perfect. All of this is all done up. Everyone has the fake lashes and the fake hair. The airbrushing to change the skin color. Come on, everyone has cellulite. Curvy girls do at least. Skinny girls do. So, why not!?”
“Extra’s” interview with Kim Kardashian and her sisters, Kourtney and Khloe, airs tomorrow night.
